Our Story

I bought my daughter’s first dollhouse with furniture. As we unpacked the dollhouse, it reminded me of the days when I was a little girl and how I played with my dolls.

I then got the idea to build a dollhouse too, but one which you can buy in boxes/ rooms. That way, every mom can build their dream for their little girl. It’s not only a dollhouse but a project that mom and daughter can do together while spending some quality time.

The ideas were unending as we designed and started building the dollhouse and all its furniture. It’s then we shifted our focus from just an ordinary dollhouse with general furniture to building a real dream dollhouse. We lived ourselves in the dollhouse and felt like children again. This dream dollhouse reminded us of a smaller actual house.

I originally had no idea what I wanted to call the dollhouse project. We tried a lot of names, but nothing spoke to my heart or got me excited. Friends suggested many names that we tried out, but we kept going back to Dory’s. We looked it up and the meaning was beautiful – a gift from God. From there, the name grew on me and I finally decided on Dory’s Dollhouse Creations.

From the moment I started with the dollhouse project, everything was a big blessing from God, a gift. God placed people on my path to help me with everything I needed, from the designer to the photographer. People who understood my heart and could envision the dream of the dollhouse project.

Currently, the dollhouse and furniture are our most prominent product, but we are working on a series of toys for the boys as well.
